Most of us are familiar with heatmaps but just in case: they track kills, showing in a generalized sense where combat occurs on a map. You can also track sentry building locations.
Has anyone tried to track framerates on a heatmap? Or make a plugin to do it?
Since fps would vary by user, I would expect this to be a utility to run on an empty map. Maybe plot points at X hammer units apart, take an FPS reading in the eight radial directions, then plot the next point, then use that data to create a heatmap of where the fps drops are. Would this even be possible?
Because damned if this info wouldn't be useful for finding out which optimization tweaks are helping the most.
