I've received a few complaints about signatures being a little too large. Specifically the images. The forum has a signature image hosting service that limits you to a 500x100, 150kb image.

Use these guidelines when using the tags please. Failure to do so will result in me replacing your image with something like this:

    [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/PDP5m.jpg

I would hate to disallow externally hosted images for signatures.

Also, the forums have been re-organized a bit. Hopefully this eliminates some confusion and helps you navigate the forums a little better.

    Please remove this.

Hyperlink URLs really should not be counting towards the character length of our signatures as they're not shown :S

Why, why why why WHY!? Who's idea was it to merge discussion with tutorials? This is a HORRIBLE idea. Worst thing ever done to the site. Tutorials should be separate so people looking for finished instructional works have them all in one place.
I suppose it's now irreversible without five days of work manually moving the threads? :(

(and there are like way too many stickies there now)

meh, it works. if tutorials are tagged appropriately. im working on something for tutorials, so having them pooled in there isnt such a big deal.

    i agree about the stickies.

I finally realized what looks weird. None of the forums have description text. Not terribly needed, but it helped explain a couple of them, like front desk.

I firmly disagree that the map/tut merge works, but whatever. We'll see what you have planned (though now that tutorials aren't in their own place, I can't imagine it not being more difficult to do anything with them).

Also, a board that could REALLY be merged is server discussion. The first page goes back four months, not really enough activity to warrant it's own section when most of those threads would be fine occasionally showing up in TF2 talk.

p.s. I volunteer the translation thread for de-sticky. It's pretty dead. Guess it was a foolish idea that isn't really needed.

    Why
    On
    EARTH

Is there now no longer any actual tutorials in the tutorials section without having to go back several pages? I used that forum a lot for the Scale and Immersion tutorials, now i'll have to either bookmark them or search for those threads when I want to use them.

One of TF2M's greatest libraries, filled with wonderful knowledge and beauty, that has all been shown to work, has now been buried under pages of questions such as "Is carving spheres into brushes alright if the brush is nodraw?". Not even kidding.

I'll have to agree about the tutorials page, I used that section a lot. It was like a holy shrine of pure clean knowledge.

Tutorials section could be a part of the site itself, not exclusive to the forum alone.

Good idea, why not make a tutorial section like on interloipers?

    http://www.interlopers.net/tutorials/

Also, the top navigation bar could have less links, and the font could be bigger.

that leads to manual editing by a few instead of the collective mind. which means delays as we are a little short handed right now.
