Ah, such lovely words. Hopefully I'll be able to avoid that, but I at least need to do a reinstall. Something went haywire with my comp about 2 months ago. Suddenly I couldn't play most video files on windows media player. Luckily, I could use whatever file type's specific player (quicktime for mpeg, divx for avi, etc) to get around it. That is until I tried to pop a DVD in this past weekend :-/

Think 3 back ups of pretty much everything is good enough? Did one with window's backup, 1 with some software that came with a 1tb external I picked up, and one copy/paste of what I believe is all the important stuff.

Oh man, tomorrow is going to be some fun times...

Good luck to you. I do it by habit about twice a year. I ALWAYS forget something.

Yeah, I considered just buying some new harddrives and doing that. But I got everything up and running, and it seems alright so far. Already found I'm missing my special black desktop theme :-/
