    Alright.

I built a rather majestic bridge today for my contest entry, and I'd love a rather majestic locomotive to pass over it.

    Something similar to:

It doesn't have to be super detailed, it's not in the playable area, but I might use it in a playable area in the future.
It should probably have LoD's in that case.

I'll be using this in my contest entry, so make sure you're okay with that.

    Love and thanks, Aly.

Oh, on that note, whoever makes it I'd love for it to be animated so it can move without looking dumb

A flying dutchman is a ghost ship that appears floating above the sea due to light from a ship beyond the horizon refracting around the curvature of the earth.

Diggin' that concept. Hey look, I might take a crack at this tomarrow. I have to wake up at 6:25, finish a flash animation ( shouldn't take long), so I got a good 3 hours for blocking before I c*** out.

    In short, ill try

I'm aware of that. I wouldn't have posted this if I had wanted to use that one.

Good luck finding a better one done in time, then.

I don't want a super detailed one, unlike Selentics.

selentics model will be a good 5 times better than anything else in the remote timeframe.

beggers also cant be choosers if youre going to assume some random person is going to make you a train that people will hardly even notice since itll be randomly passing by in your skybox, especially for a map that is competing with 100 other entries for a chance to even be looked at.

    my two cents.

I'm also guessing the Caboose model isn't good enough for you?

You probably wouldn't even need to animate it at the distance and height you have it at. Since the wheels would be obscured and it'd only be visible for seconds.

It'd look pretty cool parenting a smoke entity to the chimney though; if you can do that, then that'd distract from otherwise lacking animations.

Flame has a point there ... you'll be hard-pressed to get such a big model ready in time.

Have you considered using simple silhouettes instead of solid models? You could obscure them using some static props like powerpoles and buildings, but this would probably be the most realistic given the timeframe.

Yes, but my skybox already has enough polygons in it. Selentics model is nice, but it's very detailed. I don't want to use that in my skybox adding another few thousand polygons to it.

If he completes it in the next few months and makes LoD models I'll use it.
