    This is my map for the contest.

    It's the new CTF gametype.

    So, Blue have found Reds base and are attacking their way through from the supply dock, down into the inner depths of the facility.

    We'll see how inner we get.

    Criticize or comment, feed back is appreciated.

    Updated to v_two:
    - Added alot.
    - Added a badly done escalator
    - Done stuff

    Did you make brush letters? That seems a little time-consuming to me, but I can't even get my plr entities set up right.

    I wouldn't say the HL2 Fence model is one of those.

    I'm pretty sure that if I use custom VTFs I need to get people to sort them out.


    I couldn't really find ones that fitted, I'll have another look.


    What do people think of the game play?

    Got a chance to play this one last night. The cap points are broken and we were able to get below the map. Quickly turned into a grief fest and we didn't stay on the map for too long. I recorded two demos. One is earlier in the day and has less people. In any case, this map cannot be properly tested until the cps are working properly.

    Thankyou for your review and I wasn't nearly dmnd fast enough.

    Updated.
    And the CP's you need to run over because they seem to activate whether you're red or blue (to disable capping)

    Considering quiting contest.
    Does anyone really think this map could go somewhere? (In metaphorical terms)
    Does anyone even view this thread?

    Looks like i'll have to play this to give some more valueble feedback. The screens don't show much.

    You might wanna mix up your textures some although this is obviously alpha and barely out of DEV (if you even bothered to use them initially? I don't normally..).

    At first glance it looks like it needs some serious signage (overlays, dynamic prop signs (which can be found in your "gameplay" model folder)).

    Scaling seems mostly alright.

    item placement seems ok.

    It looks like some pathways look quite long.. something to avoid.

    I'll have to check it out ingame to give you any more specific advice.. unfortunately i havn't been able to make the most recent gamedays and i'll be camping for a week from sunday. So you might have to wait a while for me to get back to you, i know you asked so sorry about the wait that you'll have to.. wait.

    Yeah, I need to add screens showing the 2nd section.

    I didn't do a dev, it doesn't feel right to me to have non-descriptive colours.

    The one that I have sitting around uses some of someones "PLR-CTF Pack" which includes various arrows.

    I dump in spawn point to compare whatever I'm doing.

    Yeah...

    I can wait...
