my first map, its not finished but I just wanted some opinions

    firsttest - my first map, its not finished but I just wanted some opinions

    Hi!, this is my first map EVER (and also version 1 of it) I couldn't help myself and wanted to upload this, if anyone finds a glitch, please report it, and if you've got tips, or criticism, please also tell me what you don't like about my map (I don't want people to behave like little children either). tips and/or tops are greatly appreciated!

    features:

    -water (for pyrosharking) this makes the sideroute to the advantage over the middle a little more dangerous.

    -a bridge to the middle (for people to get an advantage) I made a bridge to the middle point because that was the disign in my head and accidentally blocked the sniper-balcony from seeing the enemy spawn doors, which I see as a "happy little accident".

    -some custom decals (like the sign, BEWARE OF PYROSHARK made by Overpowered) and see if you can find the pootis heavy.

    -sniper balconies (similar to the ones on 2fort, but in a koth map)

    -uuuuhmmm, GROUND! (it has got ground)

    -2 health kits and 2 ammo spawns (I know, they are a bit scarce, but if you've got some tips for placement, feel free to tell me!).

    (for the last time, keep in mind that this map is FAR from finished, changes may be made and you can have some influence on those changes)

    Go to the download page of the map, press "Edit Download" on the right side of the page.

    i would say take some better screenshots. UEAKCrash has a amazing you tube video on how to do that!.
    from what i can see, scaling could do with some work but the only way to test that is to get it on the servers, the area around mid point need some cover for both teams as it looks quite open leading to classes like Sniper and others with high DPS to dominate the game. (people won't like that)

    if you don't know, to get it on the sever, just join the TF2 Mappers steam group chat and type "!add" followed by your map name.
    Speaking of the name, TF2 doesn't like things simple and is finicky at times (this applies to every map you make).
    what TF2 likes is names like "koth_firsttest_a1"

    as you are new to mapping i would recommend checking out UEAKCrash's You Tube channel as his mapping tutorials will help you very much.
    the VALVe Development wiki also has a lot of tutorials and even pages on Game play theory that will help you in designing your maps.

    for a first map it's not too bad, i can see where your inspirations came from and i can also see you know the game well enough to try and design with class ans subclass balance in mind.
    Best of luck in your future mapping adventures and I hope you enjoy every step along the way. it might be tiring and tough at times but the outcome is always worth it

    thanks for the support and tips, but I acually have watched UEAKCrash's tutorial, and I know that the middle still needs some cover, although I could use some help with screenshots... might watch his tutorial on that too! anyways, Thanks for the tips though!

    I've Finally updated the map! yay! :3 (this update took pretty long, since I basicly took a huge break from mapping)

    in this update:

    -refined mapping, a few bugs fixed
    -added 2 side areas with medium health and ammo kits
    -added 2 secret rooms (one of witch is not hooked up to a teleporter just yet)
    -stout shako 2 refined
    -I also added a damage-dealing zone beneath the map, slowly killing you inside, so you're not stuck there anymore!

    as always, I am open to suggestions

    For the screenshots either create a config that toggles max video settings or do that manualy and then take them. ppl dont like when you can count the pixels in screenshots :)
