    Hi,

first of all, this is probably the wrong sub-forum for this thread, but I couldn't find a more fitting one. Please relocate it if you think it fits better somewhere else.

    Now, for the actual topic:
I've recently rented a TF2 server, and I'd like to run custom maps on it. Since there is no player base yet, I can't use it to test unfinished maps, but I'd love to upload some finished once already. Thus, I'm looking for finished (and by that I mean textures and full detail) maps, preferably maps which have already been tested.

    Cheers,

    Sakoki

Best place to look would be the Map Showcase, which you can find here. This is a collection of the majority of finished maps by the community. Fully detailed and tested. :)

May I also suggest Suijin? A new map created by Aly. Introduces the Japan theme to TF2. There's a KotH and Arena version.

If you're looking for more specific suggestions, take a look at Boundary. A really nice snowy Payload maps. One I really enjoy and don't feel enough servers run it.

Thanks, downloading it atm. Do you know and Suijin/King/Rottenburk like maps? I'm getting a bit tired of the industrial look :/

There aren't a ton of maps like that out there, but recently there have been more popping up. Most are still being developed, but a couple suggestions would be Sandstone by Fantasmos and Yunshu by Bakscratch. Sandstone is still in Beta, but I think Yunshu hit Release Candidate not too long ago. It's a pretty unique map in that it's asymmetrical arena, which isn't seen too often.

Awesome, both of these look promising, uploading them to my server now. If you find any more let me know :3

This sites a great resource for maps but I'd also recommend checking out gamebanna.com. Theirs literally 100's of custom tf2 maps on their but some of them are dated.

Yes, they have hundreds of maps, but the majority of them are gimmicky or trade maps. That's not to say you can't find quality maps there, but there are a lot of poorly made maps you'll have to sift through.

Very true, but you could apply advance filters to see top rated ones. Theirs also tfmaps.com, I think they have decent ones.

The IP is 37.187.9.7:27110 , however, as I am incompetent as fuck, nothing really works yet. I've installed Sourcemod and made myself admin, I've also uploaded some custom maps... and that's about it. Of course I'd be glad if you played on my server, however, I doubt it will be very enjoyable at the moment, as there are neither players nor plugins. Once I get one of my friends to install all neccessary plugins and stuff, it should be at least decent though.

    P. S. There are no ads of course.
