In my move over to this new PC I forgot to copy over the particle files I used in my map, koth_tomb. Is there a way I can rip the files from a pakrat'd version of the map?

Can you not use pakrat to extract bsp file contents too?

I always thought that's what the little save button at the bottom was for.

If not GCFScape supports BSPs too I think.

Yes, open the .bsp in pakrat, select the files then click save on the bottom menu.

GFC scape works better, IMO. It's can open BSP's and has a much nicer browsing interface

I poked around the .bsp using gcfscape and found everything else I packed, but no particle files. I know for a fact I packed them as nobody ever had issues with them missing.

Had a check myself in tomb b3.
There are no traces of particles in the bsp. No pcfs and no koth_tomb_b3_particles.txt to be found. Sorry, but the map does not feature any particles.

Where are/should these particles effects (be) ingame?

How embarrassing.. I guess I never put them into b3. I'll have to grab them from an older version.

    Thanks.
