This means working spawns, functional objectives, packed custom content, proper lighting (not fullbright), no leaks etc. I will not be testing the maps to make sure if they work in advance, so if your map breaks the server, that's on you. If you haven't already, give this thread a once-over. It'll save you (and me!) a bunch of headaches. Filename must be entirely in lowercase. 'cp_example_a1', not 'CP_Example_A1' - capital letters break Linux servers. Please repack your map before uploading. I don't want to download a bunch of 50mb maps and neither does anybody else. I will also turn down Alpha maps that exceed 50mb regardless of if they're repacked or not. One map per author. MvM, Surf, Trade, MGE, etc. are not permitted. Custom gamemodes are fine as long as they are "standard," i.e. they could be added to a server rotation without any special setup required. I reserve the right to reject any maps based on these rules. Other notes: The test will be about 1 hour and 30 minutes, but may be longer or shorter depending on how many maps there are. This is up in the air, really. By default, CP, PL and TC maps will be played for 30 minutes, Arena for 15 minutes, and every other gamemode will get 20 minutes. I will skip maps when I think that they have gotten an adequate amount of testing to get through maps quicker. Maps with big issues like scaling and sightlines will get less playtime, as those kinds of issues take less time to diagnose. It is not required for you to attend the gameday if you submit a map. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me on the forums or on Steam.
