    by removing the bad geometry
the compile log should give you a brush number or coordinates or something

Sterling posts here lads, reaaally, class A helpful. Reminder of posting guidelines

Bad geometry on a displacement basically means you've got two points in exactly the same point in space. The easiest way to fix this is to just to destroy the displacement and start over, but you can separate the points by using smooth when "spatial" is unchecked and it should spread them out again. it will also mash up the displacement a bit so you might need to rework what you've just done.

To prevent this happening in future make sure you always use a small 'distance' (one or two at max usually) when making displacements as this prevents the terrain from getting out of your control and if you go too far its easier to just use the other mouse button to go back a bit.

To find the displacements use view>go to co ordinates and it will be 'near' the displacement in question, you're just gunna have to search for yourself.
