env_detail_controller not working(?)

    Placed an env_detail_controller to make the detail sprites render for longer distances but it doesn't seem to affect anything..

    But the entity exists and vdc only says it's not in the fgd. odd. thanks I guess

    Theres several versions of source engine. While it is an entity of it, it doesnt exist in newer versions and neither does func_detail_blocker on older versions, like TF2 is running on.
