I've seen a few servers with MOTD's that aren't like, tiny.

Instead they stretch from the top of the game screen to the bottom and I believe are abit wider.

I found how to do this awhile ago but I've since lost the link and can't seem to find what I was looking at anymore.

Does anyone know how to enlarge the overall size of the MOTD?

i would like to know the same thing. I want to be able to have the MOTD bigger then the chalkboard or completely covering it. Is there a plugin maybe?
