Dustbowl style map?

    Can someone make a tutorial for making a dustbowl syle map? or just tell me how to do it here. It was done for the castle map (great map btw)

    No idea. I just decomped Dustbowl when I made castle and jacked the entity system :eek:

    Well I realised that dustbowl is all red architecture, so I figured a similar map that is prodominantly blu is needed

    It's definitely possible. Just switch all team references around when using the tutorial.

    I'm working on a Dustbowl-style project as well, so that tutorial is quite useful!

    Yeah, that's precisely the tutorial I used while setting up my Dustbowl-like area. The only problem I still have is that every time a round starts, it gives me an error saying that certain spawnrooms are not being used and will therefore be ignored (naturally it's the spawnrooms we're not currently using).

    The map still works just fine, I just don't don't know how to stop the error from coming up.

    thats the way to go Vilepickle, haha

    after u decompile, i would try to learn how the entities work because after u master them u can do more fun creative stuff, instead of just copying them totally and doing the same thing.

    Its a lot of triggering and enabling things on events, like capturing points, its a bit confusing at first, but really fun after u get it down!

    Have you check out the "Handling Doors" section in the link provided above? I think that might be your problem it discusses handling logic_relay and disabling all the spawn points except the first one.

    I found that wiki valve page on multi stage maps ALMOST works but you really have to open dustbowl to get it working right. I don't get what it is with them not providing a decent tutorial with everything right/correct. We shouldn't have to decompile.
