I feel stupid asking for help on something like this, but it's such a general issue that I couldn't figure out how to search for it in troubleshooting guides.
I can launch Source SDK and run Hammer, but the Hammer window never opens. Hammer.exe is running in Task Manager, but isn't listed as an active program. I restarted Steam after a client update but it still won't work. This just started today. I would normally just re-install Source SDK, but I'd rather not have to re-do all my customizations.
EDIT: I have this semi-fixed now; it works, but I don't know what I did to make it work. If anyone knows what might have caused this, let me know. I hate dicking around with these vague sort of issues.
