Door turns out black

    I have an Iris door made and when the control point is taken the iris door opens and another door slides down, problem is, the door that slides down turns out black, even though i have put the metal door texture on, here is a pic

    I have made the brush a movelinear brush and i also have tried making it a func_brush tied to a movelinear brush but i still get the black effect.If i compile with full lighting i can see the texture but when i compile on normal its black, any thoughts.

    Any reason you can't use a func_door instead of a func_movelinear?

    I will give that a try but i thought it still wouldnt work as i need to tie my brush to a func_brush to be able to parent the brush to the func_door, i already tried this with the movelinear brush and the texture still did not show up.If that still does not work, i have propper installed where you can make models using hammer, i will make a model of the door and take it from there, will let you know how i get on.




    I made a model door using propper and the texture now shows up.
