Do you know what this is and how I can fix it?

Occasionally There will be an extremely bright red light somewhere in my map that makes certain faces of a brush super red and it emits a red light onto my viewmodel/player. If I go back into Hammer, there is no light entity anywhere. It's really strange and I'd like to resolve it, Any ideas/help would be much appreciated!

They are degenerate brush faces. Sometimes aligning the texture to Face or World fixes it. Other times you have to remake the brush.

That worked! changing the textures to face removed the red texture. Thanks!

Interesting that they actually cast red light. That's weird.
It might just be part of the engine, maybe something like the light_environment in my map is hitting the red texture and resulting in a red light when I get near. Kinda like if you shine a flashlight at a red plastic board it will make some slight redness around the room?

Pretty sure it just straight-up glows. It's probably something they did to make those faces easy to spot during testing.

What if it's the TF2 canon explanation? It's just irradiated.
