maybe try copy pasting your wheel into a new file? works with hammer sometimes

A little update.

I ended up remaking the model after I finished the rest of the other models. This one turned out fine. I have no idea what was wrong with the old one.

Alternately, don't use XSI. :D
XSI is a piece of crap. I know how to use Blender, but am too lazy to find a way to convert its .SMD exports to Source-compatible model files without using XSI. Anybody who can point me in the direction of a good tutorial gets a scone. :)

XSI is a piece of crap.

XSI isn't that bad IMO, but I prefer 3ds max because it seems to have a more logical work-type-flow-modelling thingy than XSI or Blender.
