whats the best solution when it comes to fixing gaps between two adjacent displacements? Sew never seems to work and it's just a headache when wanting to create caves of sorts.

If they are lined up to be the same height touching they should sew together. Take youme's displacement tutorial, it has a cave tunnel as well, just 4 rectangles with the same height and they sew. But if you cant get them to sew, maybe move the vertices 1 unit at a time, or cover the seams with support beams or something? Or rocks?

Remember, that for two displacements to sew, they must share an edge exactly. Same length, same start point, same end point.

or, 1 edge that is exactly 50% the length of the other edge and lined up on either endpoint.

In cases where its impossible to sew all edges, a prop_static rock works well to cover holes in terrain and cliff walls.
