Displacement rocks

    Hey

    I havnt made any maps for any scource game earlier, only dod and cs 1.6, it might not be such a big difference but anyways.

    Ive followed the tutorial for making displacement rocks, ive come to the part where you start shaping the surface but when i select a grid or a point in the surface and clicks it goes either to the right or the left and makes the grids messy, no bumps or anything in the brush just making the grids messed up?

    I added a couple of rocks i "borrowed" from the decompiled badlands map, its just a samll area of scattered rocks on the ground. But when i compiled the map and ran it ingame there was a big black spot where the rocks were. I think i was able to see them but it was a big black area there.
    Maybe it might have something to do with the lightning wich i hasnt changed anything with, just took the skybox prefab and changed it to fit the area ive buildt.

    And at last how do you add electrical wires that goes from electricpoles to other electricpoles?
    Sorry if i mixed words or terms about mapping, im mostly self learned and im not too familiar with grids, axis and such. And i might have failed on some english words :)

    You need to select an axis to work with in the paint geometry menu for making the displacements. Like Z is up and down, X is one way and Y is the other. Use left and right click to go different directions on the selected axis.
