    Hello mappers!

I searched on YT but I can't find tutorials of how to make a medkit that respawns after a certain amount of time and a dispenser that respawns when destroyed.

All I found was a tutorial of how to make a medkit that doesn't respawn and it didn't work.

Anyone can help me with this?

Also... after creating some dispensers and medkits, my map is finished. All I have to do when i finish it is copiling with everything on max and upload the files to a server? I want it to be an endless TDM, is there anything I have to do?

    1) Making medkits respawn is as simple as placing an item_healthkit_(small/medium/large). They respawn on their own. As for a dispenser, you could do some point_template magic, making use of the OnDestroyed output of the dispenser. Take a look at this for a guide.

    2) Putting the .bsp up on a server will work, assuming you have FastDL enabled. TF2 pretty much runs default as an endless TDM if you don't have any gamemode stuff set up, anything else would be server-side.

    Spawning:
To get it working on a specific time, set the item_health to "disabled" and use a game timer (not sure on the exact) that when the time you want comes to enable it again.
    Respawning:
I'm not sure if this'll work for respawning, you could just use the "onpickup" output to enable another, but i doubt that'll work as well as you need it.

I decided to spawn medkits instead of dispensers. My map is done but I would like to test it. I spawned bots but they stay inside the base and don't move... do you think that is because there is no mode selected? I noticed that every TDM map as DM typed before the name( eg: DM_nameofthemap_V1). I have to type that on the name?

Bots don't work in DM as there is no objective unfortunatly.
You could temporarily make the map koth for bot testing, but I doubt that'll give the results you want

I asked a friend and he told me that all I have to do when my mape is finished is to put all the files in one fodler and upload it. But I have costum textures and if i change the fodler it won't work. My costum textures are inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\materials\PB_textures ( I am afraid it isnt in the correct place)

I think that I have to copile with everything on max.

So... I copy all the files with the name of the map but what about the costum textures?

    Your friend is wong

you'll have to pack the customs into the map file itself.
    Look into Pakrat for that.

I compiled in HDR but it didn't work... the lights don't look like they look when HDR is enabled. I remember that a few weeks ago I compiled in HDR by mistake and the lights were much better.

After that I tried compiling again and selected full HDR-final from the expert options. Now my computer (not the computer I am using to type this) is compiling but it is doing it for 1 hour and it says Compiling process: windows (not responding) ( it "Não responde" actually because I have it in portuguese) since the begin. My computer is making a lot of noise but I don't know if it is actually doing something or if it is frozen. What should I do?

The TF2 compiler is known for freezing, but it will eventually finish. Alternatively, you can look into VBCT which can compile without freezing or destroying your computer, but requires a bit of setup and (probably) isn't as fast. Good for final compiles!

The compile finished and everything is working fine! Now I have to join all the costum textures... I will do that tomorrow and pray for no more bugs!

Just a word of advice: If the compiler took a very long time, you might want to look into optimizing your map somewhat. At least the part that involves converting detail brushes to func_detail.
