Disappearing things

Hi. I'm new and was just thinking i was getting on top of this mapping lark and then this huge problem comes up. When I try to load up my map and test it on tf2 it loads a version of it that I have updated since then. In other words it doesn't load what I can see in Hammer. If needed i will load some screenies to help explain the problem. Thanks.

Edit: I did look around for people also getting this problem but i failed to do so, but i may have been wording it wrong.

Check the compile log, sometimes, if there is a corrput brush or other problems, tf2 refuses to create the new bsp and uses the older version.
