Default camera at the start of a map

    Hey all,

    I'm having a problem with a very small issue, namely I want clients who join the map look through a camera at a control point. I've used a point_viewcontrol aimed at an info_target in an attempt to do this, however the view won't change from the default hammer location (under the map). It won't even cycle though to the camera when I left click.

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

    You need the "info_observer_point" entity. Make one for the players who're connecting to the server (don't forget to select "yes" under the welcome point property) and make as much as you need for each team to different "important" points of your map (room of the intelligence, room next to the spawns room, etc.) Of course, you have to set up the right team for the right info_observer_point entities !

    Wow, thank you so much! I spent hours trying to find information on this and generally mucking around with entities. So simple when you know how. ;)
