    i decompiled a model and was wondering how to keep its original texture application

    in the teamfotress 2 materials.gcf and type in the name of the model or at least part of the name.

    That is not what im talking about. i applied the vtf and it isn't matched up withe the model

    You need to maintain the same aspect ratio. You can make the texture bigger or smaller but the ratio has to stay the same.

    I havent altered the vtfs in any way.

    well then perhaps some screenshots would be helpful, because neither of us seem to understand the problem.
