CTF Dead Ahead

    So, since I'm a workaholic when it comes to mapping, I thought I'd make a nice, new, creative project along side Hangar.

    The result was Dead Ahead. A ctf map in which you have to drop a bomb into the enemy's base.

    The interesting thing about Dead Ahead is that there is only ONE flag to share, like special delivery, but you have to sacrifice yourself in order to get the bomb into the other team's tower.

    Also, yes the map is rather flat right now, and kinda smushed. But I have a special version of the map that is bot compatible, and I had some fun with it. The important thing is, it works :)

    As of right now, it seems very flat, and flat usually means boring gameplay.

    The flat part has been previously stated. It's not as bad when you get a bit of a run around the map anyway. In fact, in my bot version, I didn't even spend that much time in mid. Most of the time I spent was infiltrating the enemy base or defending mine.

    Looks like there are some HUUUUUGE sightlines across that middle area.

    Add more buildings. The gamemode idea is good, but the map could use lots of improvements. Add a building in the middle of each team's "yard"

    And THAT was the major problem I was sweating over when I was releasing the map. The only thing that pushed me to release it was the thought that there's no way it's as bad as creekwood.

    don't playtest with bots, it's never anything remotely like human players

    I like the idea of the gamemode. Its like payload/ctf, take the bomb, run to the enemies, and make it go boom! But that probably takes some teamwork. a single person probably aint gonna rush through the enemies base! But i have to say i cant be a friend of that map. it is just like a sniping map.

    Result: I rate 6 / 10 melons because the map ist great in my opinion, but the idea.

    EDIT: Btw, you wrote Hanagr. Embarrassing, its your own map xD

    Also, I forgot to mention.

    Your map is small. like really really small

    As in terms of places players would want to go.

    Take my advice I mentioned earlier, add more buildings and make more defined areas, like from Aly's Inari or Yukon

    I officially give up here. This is a terrible base, and I'm never going to get anywhere with this piece of crap.

    Woah! Don't just give up after a day.
    The idea you've got here is fine, layout just needs some work.
    I suggest sketching out layout ideas in your spare time until one clicks, that's what I do.

    I'll revisit the idea when I'm more experienced at mapping. But as of now, this map isn't going anywhere.
