De/Recompiling TF2 models

Hi. I recently wanted to decompile the TF2 model for a picture frame,
in order to add my own pictures as skins in a recompiled alternative model. However there seems to be this kind of weird problem that the only decompiling tool which exists is so ancient, it's not capable of decompiling a certain class of newer tf2 models, thus rendering my attempt of reusing those picture frames as (?) impossible (?). The decompiler (from Cannonfodder) crashes everytime with no output, no matter what version (0.4, 0.5 and hacked) I use.

Anyways did anyone managed it to bypass this problem when decompiling yet?

I use a version fixed by Erix920 or something like that:

It works perfectly fine with TF2 models. I'd upload it for you but I got it so long ago and don't remember what files I need to include.

Thanks. However I think I just managed to locate the problem somewhere else: There seem to have been some model files which weren't sharing the name of the model appearing on the model viewer, so the decompiling process was inclined to fail. Anyways, extracting the whole relevant prop folder fixed it.
