This is my first TF2/Source Engine map, though I have been mapping, mostly for the Unreal Tournament games for years. I am making the map for the little ducksoup-gaming arena mapping contest. For Beta 1 the lighting, and decorations are pretty rough, but this is mostly meant to playtest the final (hopefully) layout of the map.

It is a fairly normal arena map - pretty small, with a number of ammo pickups, and one small health pickup at the pinnacle of the map - except the two teams spawn relatively close, which usually means a good portion of the fighting starts right off the bat, if people choose to run right up the ramps, but people looking for a little more strategy have several other paths around the rest of the map, which can be used to flank the enemy if they don't spread out much.

And a special thanks to Rexy, for helping me with all of my questions about Hammer.

I find this map name to be incredibly offensive.

Is it named after the L4D map "dam it"?

Yeah, because nobody's ever used THAT line before. I think, in my childhood, there was even a Pokemon episode (in the original, non-crappy series) where there was an effort to dam a river and it may have been uttered once or twice. "Why can't you dam it then?"

No, it has nothing to do with L4D map, or the probably thousand of other things called "dam it", that relate to dams.
