Custom textures not working in hammer

I'm trying to make a map and my custom textures is shown as a missing texture

If you want any help you need to give us more details, for example the steps you've taken or the folder's names you have put the textures in.
I'll just throw something out there: See if your VMT links to the desired VTF file.
