I'm trying to figure out how to get a fire effect going for my map. It's definitely possible, as I see cp_steel managed to use the "flamethrower" particle effect, but the same setup does nothing on my map (yes, I know, I'm going to hell for decompiling a user map). The List of TF2 Particles seems to only scratch the surface of what particles are in the game, and I don't know what steps are required to get some other particles working. EDIT: Figured it out. Turns out that my map stopped compiled changed for whatever reason and I wasn't seeing the effect only because I couldn't see any changes at all. The flamethrower effect does indeed work.
