CTF ctf_eycefigure8 [working name]

    Drawn up 3 days before alpha 1's release, I decided to quickly make a new CTF map. Has the nice looking pl_upward theme. :)


    Thanks to Booj for his amazing gametype library + prefabs :)

    anywho looks pretty good. cant go wrong with a figure8. reminds me of badlands a tad.

    The ramp in the second screenshot should really not crash into a cliff like that.

    Alpha 2 out, several changes after first playtest last night (AEDST) :)

    Got a little ahead of myself, yes, but I prefer detailing the ground and whatnot so then it is relatively inviting for pubbers to stay in a playtest. :)


    Yeah, I'll make sure to get this one further than I got Rippleside. :p


    Stop ruining my displacement fun >_>

    As soon as you pointed that out, yeah, it looks a little off. I'll change the look of that when I detail the map out some more. ;)

    I feel that Its quite nice as a small fast paced ctf with alot of death pit accesses which pyros can overly use to piss people off; as shown with me and lilbro[ sooooo much fun ;D] I fell that a fully upgraded sentry can control the intel abit too much and the middle is a bit crowed at times. Also you should really block the sightline that snipers use[sitting at those coalmine fences] as its kind a pain being murdered by a spawn sniper.

    seems escalante isn't the only upward themed deathpitty ctf map anymore...

    Aside from the one sniper sightline straight down over the bridge, I'm pretty happy with the map, so has the vast majority of players I've been playtesting with over the past week.

    I will consider making the intel room a bit bigger, but most of the outdoor layout is pretty much locked in. :)

    Probably the most unexpected map update in the history of tf2m really.

    No screens because I'm lazy and dx8.
