    Hey everyone. I'm please to present my current wip, Catacombs. It's all underground except for the middle area between bases will have an opening in the cave ceiling. (It's called catacombs so I'm assuming you guessed the setting is a cave theme)

    Anyway, enough talk. Heres a few shots from in or around the Blu spawn area. Keep in mind it's early in production so nothings final, yadda yadda yadda.

    Shouldn't it be a little more...outdoors ...for catacombs? :p
    Looks very nice, only thing I would say is that your ceilings look a teensy bit bright and your displacements look just a little flat.

    Catacomb: An underground, often labyrinthine passageway.
    According to dictionary.com

    You say the ceilings are too bright? I'm not sure if I can get them darker without sacrificing the brightness of the walls and floor needed for TF2, but I'll definitely try if you think they're too bright. About the displacements, the one in the last picture isn't actually a dispacement because I'm planning to have a passageway go there so I just put that there was a placeholder, but yea I'm planning to go through and make all displacements more detailed soon. I'm going to use the texture as a reference and add bumps and crevices that go with the texture so that will make it look less flat.

    You missed the :p ;)

    ahhh I see the groundlights now. I missed them before. with the groundlights the brighter ceiling looks much more normal, perhaps remove just a few of the floorlights, might help the emphasis that its underground. I don't know really, I'm nitpicking because it looks so good :)

    Ah, Internet sarcasm is so hard to pick up on :p

    Yea I might try darkening the floor lights a little. I just love the "shadow" that's creates with the upwards lighting and the rock wall normal map.

    You should change the skin on those 4 lights near the floor. I think the blue skin would blend better

    This map looks really nice. I like the underground dirt/concrete style, especially with the spot lighting.

    I don't really have enough of the layout done to make one worth while, it's just the spawn and the cave room right outside. When I get a little more of the Blu base done, I'll be sure to do a top view.
