So I installed the 13.4 version of the AMD drivers for HD 7xxx series and now I get this :

I can't rollback because the previous updates had bigger problems .. stuttering etc
Is there an specific option I need to check somewhere ? Thanks

I'm not sure where this issue originates from but previously with HD4870 i had the same issue. Only thing to fix it was atitool or something which had some alternate pixel space. It fixed tha hammer but made windows and other text blurry. So i had to switch back and forth. Eventually i stopped using it and just dealth with the blurry text. Now with HD7970 i haven't seen that issue. I was stuck with that for 1,5 years so good luck.

Oh yeah, I won't bother with the blurry text, I'll just wait for the next update ... maybe I'll try the new beta drivers :/
I have an AMD HD 7870 if I remember right

What Catalyst version you have? 13.1 seems fine here. Could be also that it's up to Valve to fix some shader config on SDK or something. With X1900XTX, which was my card before 4870, text was fine. Only difference being that different card.

    I had 13.1 but I had microstutter.
I have 13.4 now, so I don't have microstutter but I do have crispy text in Hammer.
Bit of a trade, eh ?

I have the same problem with a HD 6870, but I'm not sure how to fix it either.
