    cp_Xmaslab - Get ready for Smissmass with this map!

    Hey everyone again! This is the 2 of 3 Smissmass maps I will be rolling out in the following weeks, this one is called cp_Xmaslab. This is a control point mode map set at night which incudeds 4 control points, this is a recreation of the map cp_Mountainlab and all I have done is added a new control point and changed the theme and added props and perception effects within the map.

    Both teams have new names for:
    RED team who deals with Christmas trees and decoration has changed from:
    Reliable Excavation Demolition to Redesigned Electrifying Decorations

    BLU team who deals with Christmas Presents has changed from:
    Builders League United to Biographical Legendry Union

    What version of the map is this? Alpha? Beta? RC? Just calling it "1" doesn't tell us enough about how far along it is in development.

    If you're going to add an extra control point to an existing map, it might be a good idea to take a screenshot of it.

    Sorry I can't post any screenshots. I've been having a really busy/shitty day today.

    I'll just say things quick,and maybe later I'll add a better critique,or something-ish.

    Some places are REALLY dark,like you can't see NOTHING. Other places are accessible for no random reason. They can be a SERIOUS sentry nest or extremly useful for spies to hide.

    That extra C point is located in a... odd place. Vents that rain for no reason? (I know what you wanted to do,but it looks like rain). Random big-ass "cave" with tons of "empty" spaces and no different routes to take the point/other paths? MEH.

    The bonfires... they're pointless (not in a decorative way... you probably added too many of them,actually),but the fire itself is misplaced and really small. The WORST thing is you get REALLY hurt when you touch them... and you even get afterburn time-thing like a Pyro would do to you with the flamethrower.


    (Now THIS is personal... crappy computer,really old. Dunno if the next thing happens to anybody else) -
    TONS,but TONS of missing textures and error models. And also I get some serioust FPS drops (getting almost 5 FPS max) anywhere I look (except on A)


    Of course,everything is not bad,I guess... There's some good modifications that I want to show with screenshots,and maybe give some tips. But maybe that'll go in a different post. For now,excluding all that crap I said,I think it's a nice Smissmass map. Needs work,but still it looks fun.
