    Hey all,

    Here is a little map that me and horza have been working on, as you can see its incredibly close to being at the beta 1 stage. Its a dustbowl style attack/defend.

    Current progress:

    Red spawn: Done
    CP1 + approaches: Done
    Mid section: Done
    CP2: Done
    Blu spawn: 70% Done, its in a shed at the moment, needs to be in the ship
    Game Setup: Done
    Environmental effects: Done
    Optimization: Done for the moment
    3D Skybox: Done

    Leaving red (defending) spawn:

    Island is a wrong name for this map, call it cp_marine or cp_navy or something closer to that.

    Is the ship called sudden death? :D
    But please dont make that boat from brushwork :/

    1st screenshots, too dark, dont do the red lights.
    2nd screenshot, indoor ok, outdoor work to do
    3rd screenshot, ok, but overscale the boat since its for kids now or something :p
    4th screenshot, nice,e only the right is a bit weird/empty

    the boat is a prop, one of my friends is making it.

    I thought it was too dark but others with the file say its not bad, ill see when i test and the ship is gonna have moar guns and cannons and all sorts. The bit on the right is the front of a building, im not good at screenshots

    little map this looks huge!
    Even so huge that i am worried about the fps

    i get about 60 on dustbowl (50 in heat) offline and about 70 in this, bear in mind alot of the stuff is in 3d skybox, and iv used the fog to help fps, it stops things being drawn after about 5000 HUs, and i have a heck of alot of hinting. That said im still running at 80 fps. The skybox is 13522 long so not too big

    SG, those aren't red lights.. they're just regular light enities near the red concrete texture. I'm surprised you didn't notice that heh.

    Iep you are right :D went too quickly over that pic im afraid. Well it's still too dark if it made me think the lights are red :D

    ill get it tested then see whats what, Iv been playing about with making a traincrash so thats gonna be in my next section, hopefully....
