    Soooo... Since I'm here i might as well upload something, so here is my first unoptimized, untested, bot friendly submission to TF2Maps.net.

    Well not really bot 'friendly', they just work OK on it.

    is there some way to download it without signing up for dropbox?

    You don't need to sign up for Dropbox - Toast, you did it wrong, you need to put the file in your public folder so anyone can access it.

    Well I'm glad to see more of the Upward theme, this is interesting. :)

    dropbox works, but the URL is still kinda weird

    when I saw this on the front page first thing I thought was "you start at the top of upward and it's an a/d map to the bottom, wow that would be messed up!"

    looks pretty good though

    i cba to download, but i LOve the name.

    Only Problem; i INSTANTLY hate it. I hate dev textures in the actual mode, dev textures are for measurements! PLEASE TEXTURE IT DIFFERENTLY AFTERWARDS D:.


    Incase you havent got the Dropbox working:

    1) Go to Your documents.
    2) Open the "My Dropbox" folder.
    3) Open the "Public" folder.
    4) Copy the file into the Public folder.
    5) Right click the file and go to Dropbox, Then "Copy Public Link"
    6) Paste it here :p

    It's alpha for a reason they're there because the layout may change significantly (probably will) so it's still there, of course it will change :p

    Thats kinda rude...

    TF2maps.net is a testing and development site, where people come to get constructive feedback about their maps. Due to the fact that maps must go through many revisions of layout before they are finalized, people use dev textures so they dont have to re-do all the detailing when they make a layout change. Thats how Valve does it, thats how most people here do it (minus a few, like SWATY).
    If this map was final with dev textures, then your point would be valid, since imo, people who make orange maps are just lazy bums who cant be bothered to texture. However, this is different, since it is in alpha, as Toast already said.

    In other news, this map looks awesome, I cant wait to play it in a gameday!

    If you're gonna go with granary's skybox theme try not to just rip it off. Do something new and interesting with the dock area.

    Well, all the concept looks good, but looking at the screenshots, the main area is a bit too wide and open for my liking. Since I hate snipers, you might need to change that. But good looking!

    Dah :), but I cant really tell until I optimize it and/or put it on a gameday. Which is what I'm doing next, after optimizing of course.

    Oh wait, I see what you did there.

    Looks like an interesting layout and it certainly looks good for a first map, keep it up. Will download and check it out when I get a chance.

    Quick bit of advice, the sooner you start on optimisation, the better. Trust me, you won't regret it. Well, you will when you're wrestling with areaportal leaks, but AFTER that you won't. :p


    pssst, Cactus, to the right of the map name at the top of the first page there's a bit that named 'Map version'. ;)

    And school started again today so I have less time to work on it than before.

    ^ Much better, i had managed to corrupt the vmf i think, copying to a clean vmf fixed the issue.

    ^ Also with working areaportals and a frickin' huge occluder (not sure if good), up next is learning how to use hints and
    stuff properly.
