    Heya all!

    Sorry to remake the thread. I couldn't update the download file from the image file I originally uploaded.

    I've been working hard on creating a new map after I finished koth_avalanchev3.

    The map is attack/defense and based in a quaint neighborhood within Japan.

    The images look good!

    I just don't understand why you didn't upload them onto this thread. You can upload images by using the 'Upload a File' button when making a post.

    That overhead image of the layout looks so sexy though. I worry how small the map is, but honestly I love close quarter maps. I love the streets being a visual to the main pathway of progressing the map!

    hey there i have a bunch of feedback so cautious this is a lot.
    cp_daytrip0001.jpg Thease look very out of place if you want to do that effect you could use lightglows so they look better and fit the tf2 artstyle.
    cp_daytrip0002.jpg never use hl2 assets they don't fit at all.
    cp_daytrip0003.jpg In the japan theme the sniper van looks really weird and out of place maybe replace it with a diffrent van model.
    cp_daytrip0005.jpg The water is not tf2 water and the steam effect looks really out of place there is another one that is better you can find it here https://tf2maps.net/downloads/boiling-and-steaming-water.1256/ also how did the cherry petals get there?

    cp_daytrip0008.jpg Why are these barrels here there is no doors on the insides so why is it here.
    cp_daytrip0009.jpg Why is the throwback jack tv screen here you could of edit the vtf of the model to your likeing or you could request it on the request area of tf2maps.
    cp_daytrip0010.jpg Clip these roofs they might be too overpowered for the defenders.
    cp_daytrip0011.jpg little weird to have a robot kick sign here.
    cp_daytrip0012.jpg A lot is getting rendered at the same time here you should maybe do a optimazation pass.
    cp_daytrip0013.jpg Your skybox looks kinda ugly i think maybe it could be redone to look better.

    But the map is generally nice and i hope this feedback could help you out :)

    1. I agree. Thanks for pointing it out.
    2. Also agreed, will be changed for a later release.
    3. This is debatable. Japan has trucks and it's in the TF2 style. If I could get something like a Japanese license plate that would be awesome.
    4. I love the water you linked to. Thanks for the feedback here, however, who doesn't sprinkle cherry blossoms in their bath?
    5. Agreed, I missed the glass and it will be added to a later release.
    6. A sliding paper door model that matches one on the other side of the wall. The wall does look a little busy though, I will redo that. Thanks!
    7. I do need to add a door to the inside for sure.
    8. It would be really awesome to have a custom image on the TV screen model. The jack exists in the TF2 universe so I don't think it's out of place. Perhaps the Red team likes watching PASS Time events?
    9. This needs more testing.
    10. I need to make some Japanese themed posters for sure. Perhaps Robot Kick is a Kaiju movie here?
    11. I do another optimization pass and see if I can squeeze out a bit more.
    12. I enjoy the 3dskybox from most views the map gives. I agree it doesn't look great when flying around at the very peak of the top of the skybox.

    Some small updates. Closing in the Blu starting area a bit to make defending the first point slightly easier.

    Oct 15th, 2016 update:

    - Closed some long sightlines.
    - Closed in the main street to allow easier defense of point 'A'.
    - Added new cover the area outside the dojo to help with both defense and attack.
    - Cleaned up some visuals and added new Japanese themed overlay textures.

    - Closed in the dojo a small amount which reduced a major sniper sightline.
    - Fixed some clipping issues.
    - Added Bulletblock slopes from the street to all sidewalks.

    -removed stone railguard from the side of the start of the stone stairs on the left side of the dojo to help maneuverability for attackers.

    -Moved the cap timer from 30 to 20 seconds for the first point.

    -Added player clip to the store-front windows across the street from the dojo so you can't backup and get caught in them.

    -Removed the milk crate from the bathhouse to help maneuverability.

    -Moved the food menu to the inside of the eatery in the route from bathhouse to dojo street to help maneuverability.

    -Fixed a lighting issue on a lantern model causing it to flicker when the LOD changed.

    -Removed the charm walls from the new room that was added from the previous update to increase maneuverability.

    Map name is now cp_daytrip_rc4 to reflect version (finally).

    Changes:

    - Widened the small room on the outside of RED dojo.
    - Moved dump truck and added some crate cargo to block a deep line of sight into the bathhouse from RED dojo.
    - Increased the height of the ceiling inside of the main bathhouse room.
    - Widened the doorway into the restaurant alley from the bathhouse.
    - Clipped off a lot more of the map to prevent getting onto certain areas.
    - Removed props next to point 'A' that stickies could be hid in.
    - Made the decorative beam model that juts out from roof awnings to be non-solid to prevent getting caught when jumping around.
    - You can no longer shoot into the bathhouse changing room through the windows.
    - Removed a bench at the bus-stop near BLU second spawn to help with mobility.
    - Added some fence models to the top of some buildings near 'A' to help show that you can not get onto them.
