What a dick
i agree he may have been out of line however wtf are they recording him for anyways. Stupid kids.
Well, who are you?
What the hell
Didnt they mention they were doing a project?
Not sure I'd call that assault, the student didn't really look like he was hurt at all. I can see why he wanted to know who was filming him but he needn't have been so aggressive.
it kind of becomes assault when you put your hands on someone else
He did have a right to know who they were before answering any questions, but he had no right to "handle" the students like that.
no, but who are you?
Some of the people who get into these positions
my problem is the joe-blow stupid kids who seem like they purposely try to get a stir out of someone or catch them at a bad time.
I'm sure this would have gone much differently providing they ASKED him if he MINDED a quick interview and didn't corner him with it.
It just seems like every idiot kid out there grabs a camera and tries to manipulate something or get themselves on youtube "omg I'm popular" bandwagon.
No one knows what sort of day this guy was having.. And had they ASKED him i'm sure this would have gone differently.
/DJive runs gets a video camera"
Ok! Im going to poke this bear over and over and over again!..
/bear attacks me
OMG!!!! I can't believe it did that! Ban bears! bears are bad!! omg!!! i can not believe this!! I need to post it so everyone knows how bad bears are!!
who are you... who are you... who are you?
Errr, we're students.
was that written by a child?
It was written by a sarcastic genius.
I guess the kids missed the whole 9/11 thing with the heightened security and the social convention of not accosting government officials on the street and how world-wide, carrying a camera or video camera around government officials without being a news entity or a scheduled event is a reason for suspicion. Whether or not you support all of that, that happens to be the conditions in which these students decided to piss off a congressman with a retarded question with no disguise at all about their intentions- and when they fail to comply with his simple request, it goes downhill fast. I don't blame him for not wanting to be on video (and likewise, pushing the camera away), and "assaulting" them when they don't comply.
The situation can only be blamed on the students, and while the congressman's actions aren't the epitome of social interaction, it isn't exactly outside of his bounds.
seemed like an uninformed idiot. unless the wonkette is a parody news site. then i guess.
well thats bs. if someone walks up to you and starts asking you questions out of nowhere for no reason, you dont grab them and shake them...
