CTF Common Ground [Deleted]

    Common Ground - A map where two teams fight it out over a flag in their bases.

    This area between a storage facility and a hat shop lies two bases, where RED and BLU fight to take their Inteligence so they can plan the enemy's next move.

    Features of the bases are decorative supports, hallways, stairs, railings, lifts in spawn areas, and most of all, the Intel Room.

    This place is still in development, so mercenaries are being recruited to fight over this, Common Ground.

    Could we have some more screenshots instead of that Gmod one?
    It personally does not make me want to download your map.
    Not even out of pure curiosity.

    Well, colour me impressed.
    I have ran around your map and even though this is A1, everything is really well detailed.

    Here are some stuff that you should look into, though:


    This area has little cover. Any sniper could easily go on those balcony things and dominate the entire battlefield.

    Also, you did not build cubemaps, as you have some pink and black checkered textures on some reflective surfaces.

    I also sort of found the tunnel network rather confusing.

    That's all I had to say and probably there's much more to say, but i will leave that to someone else.

    Sorry about the previous version's issues, those have been fixed now!

    Added:

    -Cover
    -More Signs
    -Cubemaps
    -And func_detail 'ed the stairs.

    You really shouldn't worry about how the map looks at such an early stage of development. Instead focus on having good gameplay first. The more detailed your level is the harder it will be to change thing later on. And trust me, you will be changing Alot in alpha.

    Why, thank you. I was inspired by the bases of old Quake to build this map.
