Cliff Hangers [ Working Name ]

    Hi, I'm new here and extremely new to mapping, I've been working on this map for two days now and Ive come to the point where I can release a barebones alpha.

    I'd like for some feedback on as much as possible, layout, spawns, hp locations, open space, sniper spots, camping spots, scout play, sentry spots.

    anything is appreciated, I'm also hoping for some mapping advice since this is my first map ever for any game.

    Also if I forgot anything in this post let me know. I'm excited to hear what you guys think.


    I don't know how to include the skybox I used, so bare with me.

    Looks good. I hope you remembered to include clipping in your map to prevent people getting out of the area you want them to play in.

    From what I can see you used a cap_base.mdl as the Flag location. Be sure to change this in later versions as it could be confusing for new players. Make sure the Flag is kept in a medium sized room with around1-3 entrances only. Remember to try and create your own small and unique flag base for it to sit and spin happily on.

    I haven't downloaded this yet but from what I can see it looks pretty cool - Keep working :p

    Thanks for the feedback, It would help if you dled it =(

    Yeah there's no clipping yet, but, I'm not certain you can escape off the map as I put up cliffs to prevent it, but they are place holders until i feel like putting in a 3d skybox, but that's prolly going to be much later in development.

    also the cap point is a place holder, I'll be using something different.

    In regards to the room, I'm not sure if its too big, so if you could dl the map and check it out, let me know.

    Well, with regards to the room - You can actually have an intelligence room any size you like. ctf_well has the big rocket bays from the CP version as the flag rooms, so just test it out and see how it plays.
