BulletCrops content pack - A pack of models and textures for your map. As I had to close the Bullet Crops website where the pack was available to download and several people asked me if there was another way to find it, I'm putting the .zip of the content available here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the story, The BulletCrop project (strange name) was a map pack project by a few french guys. We started even before the release of Arena_lumberyard and it was probably too ambitious for us (most of us started to learn making map for source and doing 2D and 3D art) We started several map prototypes; a french coast, a submarine base, an arctic one, a volcano, a forest, a foundry and a moonbase. But we didn't even finish a fully playable map... (or I forgot we did) Still, we made severals props and textures. Some of them a crap, some other are neat. And they are available. My final complaint is that we should have made a clean pack like the swamp theme, instead of releasing all our content with their different theme path. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fyi, I did not change anything from the zip provided 8 years ago and I won't support it any longer. We probably don't have the source files. It's also complicated to know who made what. Some people who worked on this project are not available on internet anymore. But you can still ask question here and I will try to answer.
It may be impossible to know who made what for everything but some kind of list showing what you do remember about who created which thing would be helpful. Some of these props are great but I'm always hesitant to use them since I can't credit the author. A way to know which ones can be credited and which can't would help this dilemma.
The lack of contact info and credits for this pack has always been an issue. I know multiple examples of maps that have made it in game that ended up needing content from this replaced (which means the original bulletcrops people were missing out.) Highly recommend getting that sorted out if possible.
I can do my best for at least 2 contributors for the models : - Simon "Em" Aublet (according to his personal website) : models/props_maritime/trawler_002.mdl models/props_maritime/lighthouse_002.mdl models/props_maritime/porchroof_001.mdl models/props_maritime/wooddisplay_001.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_table_01.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_chair_01.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_bike_001.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_bench_01.mdl models/props_maritime/lifeguard_buoy_01.mdl models/props_maritime/littleboat_002.mdl models/props_maritime/littleboat_003.mdl models/props_maritime/shutter_002_left.mdl models/props_maritime/shutter_002_right.mdl models/props_maritime/shutter_001.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_cabin_001.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_cabin_002.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_cabin_003.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_chain_01_a.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_chain_02_a.mdl models/props_maritime/fish_van_001.mdl models/props_maritime/buoy_001.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_buoy_002.mdl models/props_maritime/green_buoy_003.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_fountain_01.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_pole_002.mdl models/props_maritime/maritime_sea_pole_01.mdl models/props_woods/wood_truck_02.mdl models/props_woods/woods_barrier_001.mdl models/props_woods/woods_barrier_002.mdl models/props_woods/woods_barrier_003.mdl models/props_woods/fake_deer_001.mdl models/props_woods/fakewildhog_001.mdl models/props_woods/silo_001.mdl models/props_woods/trophy_bear_head_001.mdl models/props_woods/bush_woods_01.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_train_002.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_train_003.mdl models/props_oceanic/tank_oceanic_02.mdl models/props_oceanic/vendingmachine_002.mdl models/props_oceanic/out_of_order_001.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_container_001.mdl models/props_oceanic/porthole_001.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_fishes_001.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_fishes_002.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_pipes_set_01.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_pipes_set_02.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_pipes_set_03.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_pipes_set_04.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_pipes_set_05.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_pipes_set_06.mdl models/props_bulletcrops/transplatte_001.mdl models/props_lunary/lunary_chair_001.mdl models/props_lunary/earthstatue_lunary_01.mdl --------------------------------------------------- - Valentin "ElectroSheep/3Dnj" Levillain Models : models/props_woods/fern.mdl models/props_woods/fern2.mdl models/props_woods/mushroom3.mdl models/props_woods/mushroom3_cluster.mdl models/props_woods/mushroom4.mdl models/props_woods/mushroom4_cluster.mdl models/props_woods/mushroom5.mdl models/props_woods/mushroom5_cluster.mdl models/props_woods/waterfall_01.mdl (lame...) models/props_oceanic/mine.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_rail_01.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_rail_02.mdl models/props_oceanic/oceanic_rail_corner_01.mdl models/props_oceanic/tech_pipe_big_256.mdl models/props_oceanic/tech_pipe_big_128.mdl models/props_oceanic/tech_pipe_big_256.mdl models/props_oceanic/tech_pipe_big_corner.mdl models/props_oceanic/tech_pipe_big_turn.mdl models/props_oceanic/handle.mdl models/props_oceanic/handle2.mdl models/props_oceanic/handle2b.mdl models/props_maritime/crate_small.mdl models/props_maritime/seatag_east.mdl models/props_maritime/seatag_north.mdl models/props_maritime/seatag_west.mdl models/props_maritime/seatag_south.mdl models/props_maritime/fish_barrel.mdl models/props_maritime/sewer_trap.mdl Textures : woods/concrete/concrete_tile_001 woods/metal/wall028_blu woods/metal/wall028b_blu woods/nature/woodchips001 woods/overlays/decal_woodchips001 woods/signs/woodsign02 woods/wood/wood_wall002 woods/wood/wood_wall002b woods/wood/wood_wall006 The computer wall set with dark blue color (i'm lazy on this one) oceanic/concrete/concretewall003 oceanic/metal/deep_metal_floor oceanic/metal/Ibeam002 oceanic/metal/metal_deep_wall_02 oceanic/metal/metalpaneldeep (Seriously don't use this it's crap !) oceanic/metal/metalpaneldeep_red (same !!) oceanic/metal/oceanicdoor_01 oceanic/metal/oceanicdoor_01_red oceanic/metal/oceanicdoor_02 oceanic/metal/oceanicdoor_02_red oceanic/metal/steeldoor001 oceanic/nature/lava_01 oceanic/nature/rock_dry_01 oceanic/nature/rock_dry_02 oceanic/nature/sand_dry_01 oceanic/nature/sand01 oceanic/nature/rock01 oceanic/signs/sign001 oceanic/signs/sign002 oceanic/signs/sign003 oceanic/signs/sign004 maritime/nature/sea_sand_maritime_001 maritime/nature/maritime_ground001 ----------------------------------------------- Well... this is probably 70% of the pack already... I should have done that before guys, sorry. I should have know that most of the good models are from Em' and he is actually credited on my map frosty as i'm using lot of the props from his list. For the others, there is at least 4 guys. We had one guys focused more on particles but I don't know if he released those. Most of non credited textures and several other models are from a guy who disapeared without any explainations.
So only a few people actually worked on most of the pack? I was always told that a bunch of people collaborated on facepunch to make it. Guess that wasn't the case, so it probably would be ok to use most of the props and materials in that case now that many of them have credits attached to them now??
It's fine to use the bulletcrops models for anything you need unless you are going into an RC state with your map. Upon getting to that point, you should try to replace the models that you use that don't have known authors with new models that do.
Just noticed while sorting the models with and without credits and thought i might mention tech_pipe_big_256 is labelled twice. I think you meant to put tech_pipe_big_64 on there instead of the second tech_pipe_big_256. Apologies if that's a dumb thing to point out.
