Broken Map?

I am currently making a map and I made all creations far out from the origin, I have set up a spawnpoint and whenever I start up the map I am on a small little platform in the origin, I have no idea if I messed something up.

Are the spawn points off the ground a bit? I usually do like 16hu up. If they aren't, you won't spawn at them and spawn at the origin instead.
