blue spawning in red spawn :S

    In my map that i made based off one i have played on before, blue spawns in red's spawn, even though all the teamspawns are set to red i still spawn when i pick blue as red, the red spawn is not in the center so i know that if my blue spawn was made wrong i would spawn in the center, not red's spawn, help?!? :(

    You made all teamspawns red? It will forceably spawn you somewhere even if you have no spawn points (you don't have any weapons). Since you have provided some points, just made them ALL red, it uses them for the blu team.

    so you think i should turn even my blue spawn points to red? i'm not quite sure i understand

    Okay I think I misunderstood your first post.
    You have a spawn room for all red, and a spawn room for all blu, but as a blu you still spawn in the red's room.

    Do all your spawn points have 16 unit spaces around them in each direction?

    He thinks you dont have any spawns for blu so they spawn in red spawn, but if you have blu spawns, ignore that. Check func_spawnroom is set to the right team, this would be the first thing i could think of.

    i didn't think i needed 16 units space, why would that mess it up?

    Several Heavys spawning on top of each other would make a processing nightmare. So TF2 declare the spawn points invalid if they're too close to each other.

    Or something like that.

    actually, it can't be the problem becouse the red spawn is the blue spawn just copied and pasted then modifyed to blue

    when you run the map do you get errors in the console about the spawns?

    I bet your spawn entities are standing on the ground. I also had this problem before, and I fixed it with moving the spawnentities (info_player_teamspawn's) a bit higher above the ground. (Probably arround 16 units) :)

    if you map has more then one round you need to set it in the spawn entities, this only applies to the first spawn room forward spawns dont require it.
