My rebellious BATT map.
I don't recognise the beginning of the track...
He's using the original, unchanged version of the map....
and most likely i'll get away with it. if not, so be it.
Too many meddling kids...
Just ran around in the map for a bit. A few things I noticed:
1. The fences near spawn are clipped such that you can walk on top of them. Not sure if this is intended or not.
2. Depending on which door through which you exit (as RED), it's not obvious where the side route is. Maybe a bit more signage?
I still have yet to decide upon that. I personally would let you because you started within the short time between the post and the update to the track and your map was the ONLY map that had progress shots before I updated the track too. However people are annoying. If they're annoying enough: DQ.

red spawnpoints that face exits other than the sideroute one are disabled initially. however tf2 likes to spawn players there anyway. i'll look into it.
at the very least i'll have proven that the original track is good enough to build a map around.
Surely it's no big, though. the only change i notice is the 512 section of track at the start, it's not like he has to start the entire thing over; and the whole idea of the contest was that we all use the same track. If Sergis is using a different track layout, what's the point in having that rule; which is the entire point of the contest.
You guys confuse me with what you will and will not allow.
sure, i could rebuild the map on the new track. that would fuck up final area a bit, but it's doable. however i will stick with the map i have now. i had no problem with the track that was given to us at the start. i did not need the change. so if i get disqualified because instead of crying about the track i decided to try it, well then so be it.
regarding the breakables - i do want destroying them to be part of the gameplay, but i dont want them to be too easily destructable. if the cover is going to be blasted away in 3 seconds, that cover most likely won't be used at all.

That bridge closest to the camera in that screenshot looks a little odd, though. The middle would collapse if any weight was put on it.
The rock wall on the left needs a bit of work, the texture looks like it repeats itself...

Yeah, shove a support in the middle section of the bridge, and make the rock wall less crap in terms of texture scale and repeatedness. Keep it up.
now if only i could bring myself to detail the rest of the map
