One of the things I want to try and do on my map is have after the second point a crane picking up the cart and moving it to a secondary track. I am wondering if there is a way to make an automatic movement, or will I need an auxiliary control point to move the cart?

You can trigger behavior by the cart passing or reaching a certain path track. This is how control points are captured in Payload.

If you want it to be fully automatic (so players can have a picnic while the crane moves the cart) You can just set the cart's parent to the crane head, move it to the intended track then un-parent the cart and teleport it to the intended track (so it can be pushed normally)
If you want it to be like plr_cranetop then you'll have to use a auxiliary control point

There's a map I made where a Lil' Chew-Chew spawns and starts moving on its own via a "StartForward" input. It will move at the cart's max speed and can be stopped with "Stop". However, I think you should disable the push-trigger before triggering your cart so players won't take control of it, breaking the input.
