    This is first thing what I ever made in hammer editor.this have to be base built on caves.This is alpha.So please do not leave comments like this is f***ing ugly or why I entered the contest.I entered because I think this is good for start carrier as mapper.

    Looks like a great start! Im not sure that that skybox fits the map, since it is meant for a snowy theme, which your map definatly is not. Most of the walls are also a bit dull. Add some buildings, and other stuffs to spice it up!

    I doubt you can finish it, well, you can, but it will not be perfect :/

    I'm making my map since they announced the contest and there's still a lot of things to do

    yup... I need yelp ^_^ ,because time is short...but I know I must make all myself...but you can help me via some tips.I have problem with water and glass (on all glass and water is reflected missing texture(red&black squares)) so please can ya help me with this.tell me how to fix it.Also soon I will upload map and you can beta test it(I added some fun stuff ^_^ like Giant explosion and debris effects).and when you want see ending explosion http://www.youtube.com/user/111lower?feature=mhum#p/a/u/0/rzX3I0TxoYc (now updated...bigger explosion,detailed launch pad of rocket,added debris effects.

    Have you built your cubemaps? That's usually the reason for those missing textures.

    Try restarting TF2 after building cubemaps.

    Because every time I build cubemaps and even do a mat_reloadallmaterials (which J4CK8 forgot) I still get purple checkerboards. But if I quit TF2 and restart it I don't.

    That's why I suggested it.

    Sawmill is an arena map. If you are referring to the CTF_Sawmill map, then you need the Swamp Pack and use the leak particle prefab.

    You don't need to restart TF2 to get the cubemaps; you just need to change the map.

    map artpass_lower111
    mat_specular 0
    buildcubemaps
    changelevel anymap
    changelevel artpass_lower111

    that'll do it.

    Wat. You don't need it. It is shipped with the TF2 GCF.

    </posted about a week prior when I still didn't know* that ctf_sawmill was Valve>

    *I've seen it being played all of three times across all servers I visit. And I hate ctf, so...

    I wouldn't recommend using them in a serious map though, they're okay for unserious servers but not when trying to be professional.

    1. Ladders aren't common in TF2 and would therefor be confusing for a lot of players, which would effect gameplay negatively.
    2. There's no animation for climbing ladders and it would therefor effect your visuals negatively.

    Map detailing will be completed in 2 days.After it I need someone to help me with technical part (hints,area portals,fade distances,fix one doors etc.)I really don't know make stuff like this.Please help.
