    Hello. I'm Jetti. I'm entering the Artpass Contest (Quite Obviously).
    The sixth Picture is rather outdated, as you can tell from the fourth picture.

    I picked a Snowy Alpine Night theme, with BLU being industrial, and RED being mining / Pipeline. :rolleyes:

    [FONT="Garamond"]After Australia decided there was no gold in their cursed enemy, hills, the disappointed prospectors turned their gaze to Canada; expecting the Planets' other Ridiculous Country to Bear Golden Fruit. Their efforts were in vain. No gold was found, and their machinery was left to rot. [/FONT]

    Canadian Hills.
    
    Reliable Excavation Demolition had set up a pipeline and refinery system in the Canadian hills, knowing that Builders League United was no-where to be found nearby. Operations were going well, with a huge base built, complete with transportation methods and blast doors. They decided to increase profits by drilling further. They drilled further than any other company. What they found shocked them. A single cache of Australium. 
    
    After the news had been spread around small circles, Blutarch discovered their secret. Knowing that a single ounce of Australium could help enhance any moron’s fighting and thinking prowess, he got his company to investigate. 
    
    Dilapidated buildings were quickly repaired or replaced. The battle was on. 
    
    Seeing that BLU was attacking, and guessing why, RED decided to jettison the cursed gold away from Canada into friendly territory. Jettison it out of a Rocket. 
    
    BLU found out about the Rocket. They had no clue what the rocket contained. All they knew is that RED were building a rocket. And that they had a Cache of Australium. So they built two missiles. One pointed directly above the rocket silo, ready to blast the rocket, and one pointed at the Australium Cache; just to be safe.
    
    Red realized BLU were building missiles, so they put all hands on deck to launch the Rocket as soon as possible. BLU notice the increased production speed and… And they realize RED’s plan. They quickly assemble the perfect raid team.

    The Raid team is ready. The Rocket is ready. The missiles are ready. 
    
    What happens next? You decide.

    As you can tell, Transportation is an important part of my Submission; they need it to transport Oil, resources and supplies. This encourages Pipelines, Trains, Trucks and Cars. I have the Train. I have the Cars and Trucks. Now I just need a Pipeline.

    Obviously, the Final CP will be a Rocket. I'm pondering having it launch if RED win.
    I also have the idea of a truck containing a huge horde of australium drive away into BLU bas if BLU win. Not sure really.

    It looks like a great start!
    Maybe try adding beams inside and outside the Red buildings - it's a small detail but it adds a lot.

    In the 3rd screen shot, the wooden doors from 2Fort wouldn't work as gates and they look plain silly out there. Remove the doors and shove a car in there insted

    Exist; the gate has been removed. I will not be adding a truck there.

    I also added the storyline.

    Any idea when you'll add those snow particles Jetti? wanna see if you managed to get a blizzard style particle going :)

    Well, I have the particles, I just have to set them up. I'm trying to stop them penetrating walls; though I suppose if there is a window it's okay. The sound is working; it's the one from viaduct.

    Nice detailing so far, I think you should just make it a daytime map (perhaps changing the angle of the sun so the shadows are less consuming).

    I've done this, (ajusting the sun) however, I don't have any shots to prove this as I can't be bothered to wait to compile the map.

    Theme Advancement

    Spytech (Offside Room w/ Missiles (Above Picture in last post) > Industrial (BLU BASE, recently built) > Old Wood Only (LEFT BY AUSTRALIUM PROSPECTORS IN 1890's. (House Besides BLU spawn))> New Wood and Old wood w/ metal. (Old building left by Prospectors, being renovated by RED (BLUSpawn - Warehouse)> Concrete/ Brick (Semi new. Built to last in the harsh environment. (Garage-A))> Metal only (Industrial; RED equivalent of BLU BASE's Exterior (A-B) > Concrete only (Just inside the spytech Base (B-C) > Spytech Base (C and Rocket)

    Is this the correct theme advancement?
    Basically:
    SPYTECH> INDUSTRIAL > OLD WOOD > NEW WOOD > CONCRETE + BRICK > METAL > CONCRETE > SPYTECH.

    The Transition from INDUSTRIAL to OLD WOOD is sharp, but it is used to distinguish between the old stuff left by prospectors and the NEW BLU base.

    Bah. I think I rambled too much there.

    You can usually get away with having a slightly brighter environment_light setting than the skybox ambience. Which i would recommend because you have some weird shadow formations all over your map.

    Either that or turn down your light map scale (so shadows are more crisp). The vmf we got given actually has tons of factor 64 (or 32, i forget) light maps, as opposed to the default 16. Which makes for ugly shadows if not modified/used properly.

    edit: Also, i have replied to your PM. Though image shack decided to be a bitch and tried to give me a trojan :/ try to use photobucket or dropbox in future. If you have to use IS, use a direct link so that people don't have to load all the flash adverts and page cookies etc. Since that's how the viruses get you.

    A quick look for all my loyal fans (Yeah right) at the refinery located in the skybox behind B. I think I pulled it off quite well.

    Looks good, but the only thing I have to say is that I would like to see more screen shots of play areas instead of aesthetic areas. ;)
