    Howdy,

    This is my first post. Joined up to try my hand at some map detailing.

    Going for something snowy at night. I also stuck as close to the original geometry as possible with all additions being in previously clipped areas. Re-reading the FAQ it appears I didn't need to be so cautious. :facepalm:

    Skybox is underway but those are such a pain to get right.
    Also still haven't fully fleshed out Red Base.

    Looking good! Although those Cave wall textures, you may want to Make them displacements, and make them look more cave-like hm?

    EDIT: I noticed under Point "A" there seems to be a tunnel, like one you can go through, unless it's only for looks, you may need to get rid of that, no making extra pathways was a rule right?

    I'm waiting to the end to do displacements because I have the most trouble with them and they tend to mess up on me.

    The tunnel under A is just for looks. It's a mineshaft to help tell the story of why RED has this territory and why BLU wants it.

    Ah! That's Brilliant! I wish I had a back story.....mines basically just a BLU Front company for shipping nuclear weapons and Red Captured their base. kinda. xD

    Oh BTW Techno, I was just finishing up some work on the building near A, and noticed we did the same thing!! The floor at A is see-through on mine too! Same texture! although mine has a Nuke in it, xD

    Still great work, Can't wait to see what this turns into....How can Valve pick just one of these great maps?

    Technoman, the Skycard in Picture 3 doesn't really work. It's too bright. Try toning it down.

    @Jetti There's like 12 skycard skins and I've been messing with which one is right. I think that's skin 12 and I'm also looking at 1 and 7.

    @Redemption It's supposed to be more like there is snow on the roof though the bump mapping on the current snow texture is a little strange...

    Question as to legality. I made it so that C Point retracts into the wall. Granted this makes it so that RED has to go around for the first 2 points. But it doesn't really alter the fastest way to A point. However, once B is capped the point extends.

    Some notes. It can be captured while it extends so it's still "Spy Cap"able. Once it's extended it takes the exact same space it did initially. So the various classes can then jump over to it. 7 second extend time. Thoughts?

    Additionally, what if I put a grate over C until B is capped? Then the grate goes away and C point extends?
