    here the first map i made in colab whit quakeman. and to avoid any boring retarded comment i already got about my steam glitch , i reopened another acount and rebuy tf2.

    now oyu can track me as you wish damn stalkers.

    (but i will keep playing my fist acount for the other games.)

    How come you guys love arena so much? most people hate it.

    Also one screenshot that is partially obstructed doesn't give anyone a good idea of your map.

    Maybe since Arena maps are the easiest to make.


    Need more screenshots. Nice geometry, however.

    The varying textures kinda burn the eyes. It doesn't look like much is done, just that single room.

    Post some screenshots of the varying playable area's then. I'm not gonna make the effort to download and play it if you won't make the effort to post screenshots.

    I played it. The brushwork is okay, but its HUGE, very overscaled, and I even think that it will be overscaled for a 5CP. I'll try it as a 5CP, BUT you really need to look at scaling. The hedges (well, to-be hedges) are WAAAY too tall.

    Drop the non-tf2 skybox, OR, make it more tf2-esque, which is kinda brushy and artsy.

    That sounds like a good plan...


    The reason that the spy was bad was because you had a map for Arena that was HUGE... if this was going to be arena, you should've cut off some routes.

    EDIT: Start with a basic TF2 Skybox, btw. Don't make anything custom, I know you want to and I know you can, but wait, just try with the 2fort one when you do daytime CP. Maybe?

    Keep it to 5 CP...

    Hey, I played this, and I kinda liked the map... It has a lot of flaws that -newer- mappers make, like overscaling, sightlines, too many routes and not enough signs, etc...

    All right, I gave the map a runthrough. There's too much to comment on, so I'll sum it up in 3 words:
    - Sightlines
    - Corridors
    - Overscaled

    Seriously. I can tolerate long sightlines, but overscaled corridors basically ensure no one works that well besides Sniper. There's basically 4 areas in the whole map that aren't corrdiors. It also gets really confusing when I'm just walking around and I have no sense of where I'm going. I can't even justify it with the whole "I'm not used to the map's layout" excuse.

    The map's roughly 8000 x 8000 x 1700 Hammer Units (length, width, height). I'd actually say that's too small for most other game modes (Badlands is roughly 11000x9000x2907 Hammer Units), but for Arena, that's way, WAY too large, especially considering that most of that space is wasted on corridors.

    overscale? .. no the map is the same size than gunz in proportion characther , size .... the problem come of the fact that in gunz we run 2x faster than tf2 and we can thumble or dash 4x the speed of normal player (sniper / engineer / spy ... ect)

    thats the fact going slowing in big environement make it looking even more large. but playing the same map as scout whit noclip speed , and the map become now corect (because everything go faster in gunz ... so we have to add obstable , props to block some passage , prevent sniper overdomination and making it smaller in corridor.

    Just FYI.

    Just because it is not overscaled in Gunz, doesn't mean it can't be in TF2, they are two different games on two different engines.

    Scaling should be done on a tf2 scale, not a gunz scale for this one. This is the reason why you don't see a many, if any, replica's of maps from other games (barring the star wars battlefront 2 death star map, but that was done well)...

    I'd suggest keeping what you have now, and scaling back down...

    See the hedges in one of the screenshots that quake posted? Compare that size to the size of the cars up above, its maybe 1 and 1/4th of a car height, which is like 1.5 player heights, maybe a little tiny bit more... what you have now is like 2.5-3 players height, which is double what it should be, so i'd look at doing scaling that way, and not by looks, buy using player models and making it seem realistic.

    I would rescale things first, THEN test, THEN if needed add more. Since it already feels pretty large, you shouldn't add anything yet. Just do the rescaling, make it 5CP --Make sure you add signs so people know where to go*** this is important--...

    After that, release new version, test, and if you need to add more, then add more, but don't do it now.

    Hmmm, good observation, that would be a good thing to add...

    One thing I noticed is that there was a lot of random passage ways, don't how it will play out with 5CP, but defiently pay attention to it when have the next version tested.

    can be good idea but it will now look more as manor than gunz mansion.

    so it gonna turn into attack defence map.

    let me make a sketch of how the map can be disposed and buid it as the quest gunz map.

    here the new plan ,the map gonna be reduced in scale but gonna keep the same aspect and rooms. we gonna add the town and the prison in in certain calculated scale.

    game type : attack and defend cp. 8 cp (3 in the prison , 2 in the town and 3 in the mansion.

    what gonna make the map unique?
    the prisoner cant escape the prison until the 3 cp in the prison are not captured and locked (can be captured back but all 3 get locked when they get captured by prisoner.

    then the prisons gate open and system shut down so they can accest the town.

    same scenario (can be captured back) until both are captured.

    then gate of the mansion open.
    those of the mansion are captured in order.



    there 2 thing i want to know.

    is tf2maps server run HHH
    is it posible to make HHH in a specificteam?

    That was because you had a map that was the size of a small 3-5 CP map.
