    ctf_Basement_Hunt

    This is the very first time I opened Hammer Editor.
    So don't blame me if it is a simple map.
    Let me know what's good and what's wrong...


    And enjoy the map :)
    It's a simple ctf map.

    Looks good for a first map, just learning the ropes and stuff.

    One thing to point out would be to try not to use half life 2 textures and props. You can filter textures by typing 'tf' into keywords in the texture browser.

    1. That's a hole in the roof xD scout and soldier can go outside trough that and evryone can come inside trough that, I thought it would be fun :)
    2. Yeah, that's right, Its a small map, so I didn't know where to put it, I'll change that.
    3. That's the blu resupply door, it don't open for red, I'll make a sign for that.
    4. That are the rocks from outside who come trough the wall a bit, I'll change that too

    Help:

    I have a server running my map,
    but there is something wrong,
    the resupply sign's and the weapons have a purple shine
    and when we wanted to put op a sentry on the tanker downstairs
    the texture messed up and the server crashed... :p:p

    The purple shine is due to having no env_cubemaps around the map. Also the Tanker crash...I have no idea

    Yeah, I didn't know what cubemaps are for:p
    now I do :)

    for building cubemaps, place them near shiny/reflective surfaces, and then compile. When in game, type these into console:

    mat_specular 0
    buildcubemaps
    disconnect
    mat_reloadallmaterials
    mat_specular 1
    map <yourmapname>

    wtf, I tought I had solved the problem,
    but when I wanted to join the server with my map I get this error:

    Your map differs from the servers (arena_basementhunt.bsp)

    help :(
