Annoying visual problems

    1: There seems to be some sort of a draw distance problem with the map, as stuff disappears when you move away from them far enough:

    Someone told me this is a visleaf problem, but it doesn't really seem like it, or if it is, I have no idea how to fix it

    2: When optimizing the map with skybox brushes, they leave these ugly... holes in walls:

    I know they can be used without this happening, but how exactly?

    Make the skybox not touch the wall.

    But for example in badwater, the skybox brushes are touching walls without this problem

    Make the problem-wall a displacement.

    The buildings you are referring to in Badwater are probably func_detailed.
