Remember that thing I posted a long time ago about a guns blazing top down shooter? This is take 2 of it, taking another turn.

This rendition of that old thing is a lot LOT closer to Survival Horror. You'll be playing as someone attempting to survive and escape an area that's been infested with a deadly invasive species. You need to watch for your health, hunger, and ammo as all kinds of weird things come for you.

The game will be open world, so players will be able to travel multiple areas, as long as they have the weapons to survive the higher difficulty areas. Some places will however, be blocked off until another objective is completed to advance areas.
